Our History

Cody Foundation started life as a meeting of two visions.

After Financial Professionals CEO Ross Rickard took his team to Laos on a experiential journey, he returned with a renewed vigour to give back in whatever ways he could. Thus began his philanthropic mission.

It was through a conversation with a long-time wealthy client around his will and legacy that Ross asked an important question. “I asked him if rather than leaving all this money to charities after he passes away, if he’d like to start giving now and enjoy the experience while he’s still alive.”

It was a question that sparked an enthusiasm in the both of them. Cody Foundation was formed as a Private Ancillary Fund, with the principal philosophy of looking for those extremely good causes that are not otherwise fully supported by the public as they may not be as visual or are just new in their endeavours.

Ongoing Philanthropic Giving

Cody Foundation and Financial Professionals plans to grow support for philanthropic giving over the next 10 years by continuing to provide support services in this area. The annual amount that we donate has increased over 50% since we first started 6 years ago. Additional monies this year will be directed to assist the homeless which is in urgent need of support in all areas but particularly severe on the Gold Coast.
