Ross has been a Specialist Financial Advisor, Tax Consultant and Wealth Creation Strategist for over 18 years. Prior to this Ross has an additional 15 years business and management experience in a wide range of areas including: chartered accounting, corporate and project management, new business ventures, stock market, finance and property.

This blend of in-depth knowledge and experience is why Ross has been so successful in assisting clients with their personal financial affairs.

Ross gained his degree in Economics at the University of Sydney, majoring in Economics, Law and Accounting. He has also completed post graduate studies including the Diploma of Financial Planning conducted by RMIT and the Diploma of Corporate Management conducted by the AGSM, University of NSW.

Ross is a Certified Financial Planner, Fellow of the Society of Certified Practising Accountants, Financial Planning Specialist, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and Registered Tax Agent.

Ross is an employee and ‘representative’ of Investment Professionals and receives a salary and possible bonuses. Ross receives no commissions or rebates from any third party.

Ross is also an equity owner in the Financial Professionals group and receives dividends from earnings.

Marilyn Bee is a senior consultant for Financial Professionals and provides advice to clients on all financial planning and investment matters. Marilyn also heads up our investment team as Investment Director, responsible for research into all new and existing investments.

Marilyn’s maturity as well as wide ranging professional and business experience allows her to assist clients in the successful management of their affairs.

Marilyn is an accountant who made the transition to financial planning in 1994, and has completed her Diploma of Financial Planning. She has spent some 18 years working and living overseas in countries such as Laos, Philippines and the Maldives. In this time Marilyn developed a number of successful business opportunities involving complex financial matters. The necessity to link tax and structural advice became evident during this time and was a driving force in her joining the Financial Professionals team in 1999.

Marilyn also oversees our proactive investment selection and monitoring process. By utilising the major research houses such as MorningStar to undertake in-depth due diligence we can personally tailor investments to suit our client’s needs. This includes ensuring the right balance of income, growth, sector allocation, volatility and tax benefits etc. Marilyn is also an experienced share trader and runs seminars on the subject.

Marilyn, through her entity JMB QLD Pty Ltd is employed by, and is an ’authorised representative’ of Financial Professionals Pty Ltd. Marilyn earns a salary and possible bonuses. Marilyn receives no commissions or rebates from any third party.

Mark Dixon

Mark has been Director of Financial Professionals since its establishment in 1999. He is currently assisting more complex clients with the rationalisation of their overall affairs in a role that can be best described as a ‘trusted member of the family board.’ Whilst not an authorised representative or financial advisor, Mark utilises his extensive and highly regarded taxation, business and structuring expertise to optimise a clients position.

Mark is integral in the ‘big picture’ decision making process on behalf of clients and then draws on specialist services within Financial Professionals/Investment Professionals and other key legal and accounting professionals, as and when required, to provide a fully integrated solution to a clients’ needs.

Mark gained his Bachelor of Commerce and his Masters of Financial Management at the University of Queensland and has over 30 years experience in business, taxation advice and management.

Mark was Senior Partner at both Coopers and PKF Chartered Accountants on the Gold Coast. He provided specialist taxation and structuring advice to a wide range of clients and was pre-eminent in a number of advisory fields including, property development and the retirement industry. Mark has also utilised this expertise by being directly involved in the planning, structuring, construction and management of a number of retirement villages.

Mark receives fees for advice and work undertaken on behalf of clients ‘as negotiated’. Mark receives no commissions or rebates. Mark is also an equity owner of the Financial Professionals Group and receives dividends from earnings.
